The Coast of
Atlantic Forest is a privileged region because of the tropical
climate. The sun shines all year long! During the summer, the
region receives a refreshing cool soft wind from the sea. On the
other hand, during the winter in July, the weather is warm as
much as it is in the summer, a phenomenon known there as
veranico or verãozinho that makes the days warmer and the nights
cooler. Temperatures in the winter can range from 17º to above
25º C, so this way you'll enjoy the beach in the winter as
though it were the own summer!
The Tropic of
Capricorn pass through the State of São Paulo, more exactly
around the Capital which is also named São Paulo. The Coast of
the Atlantic Forest, even being located under the Tropic, it is
in a transitional zone, keeping the tropical climate all year
long. The sub-tropical weather can only be noticed much farther
south near the southern border of the State of Paraná and the
northern border of the State of Saint Catherine. This way, the
Coast keeps high temperatures during the year and throughout all
seasons.
The differences
of the local relief sometimes can modify these general
conditions. Around the coast, the temperatures are around 20º C
most of the time. These temperatures drop a little in the
surroundings of the amazing heights of the Sea Mountain Range
(around 1,700 meters above the sea level) where the annual
pluvial levels are near 1,750 mm and 2,000 mm. Although these
levels are high, the amount of rain in the City of Santos and
around the Coast of the Atlantic Forest are low. In other words,
the sun shines throughout the year.
During the
summer and the fall, there are days of an incredible luminosity
where the immensity of the blue sky meets the vastness of the
blue greenish sea, creating a happy and invigorating atmosphere
of well being. Come to Itanhaém and enjoy the good weather all
year long!
